Imagination can create – or it can destroy. Sam Little, a wildly imaginative ten-year old boy, holds that power in his mind. In an effort to cope in the ordinary world, Sam makes one heartfelt wish to make his imagination real. He doesn’t quite realize the seriousness of his wish until his once imaginary, but now quite real friend, Yetews, unexpectedly draws him into the hidden world of Imagia. Though he believes that he is merely on an adventure of his own creating, he begins to see that he’s wrong. What begins as an exciting adventure quickly spirals into a waking nightmare.

With the help of his Guardian and the friends he makes along the way, he discovers just how powerful imagination is and how dangerous it can be when used by the wrong mind. His unique ability will alter the course of his life and change the very world he’s in. Once he finds that he’s been brought into this world in the midst of dark and dangerous times, he’s forced upon a decision that no child should be forced to make – return home, or become one of the lost children in Imagia forever.

The Gateway to Imagia The Tale of Sam Little The Imagia Trilogy Book 1 eBook Jessica Williams

I thoroughly enjoyed Gateway to Imagia: The Tale of Sam Little. I must confess, I wasn’t sure if I was going to like it at first. A story about a 10-year old boy and his imaginary friend seemed a bit ‘young’ for my reading taste, but I was quickly mistaken. This imaginative tale was full of action, emotion and great characters. The plot of the story draws you in and keeps you wanting more. The characters are well written and vivid in their portrayal. When they hurt, you know it. When they’re surprised, you are too. Besides, Yewtew Rocks…and if you don’t know who that it, you simply need to read the book. I’d recommend this book to anyone 10 and up. There is a bit of violence, but it is well-written enough for the younger crowd. I enjoyed this book, and I think you would too.

The Gateway to Imagia The Tale of Sam Little The Imagia Trilogy Book 1 eBook Jessica Williams Reviews

I really enjoyed this one. The pacing is well done and the characters have the depth necessary to carry the series further. Will be patiently waiting for book two. Well done.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It's a fast paced fantasy set in a world that draws you in. You feel like you are there with Sam through all the challenges he faces. The characters are rich with personality and you feel a kinship with them. Miss Williams did a great job of creating a thrilling story line and I can't wait to read the future installments. Read this book!
My nine year old son is enthralled with this book. He chooses to read it rather than play at recess. I thought what's the buzz so I decided to read it along with him. Well I can honestly say that the book is addictive. You don't want to put it down. The descriptive writings make for a very colorful tale. The characters are well developed. Overall a great read ..... Ready for book 2!!!
I loved this book!! It held my attention from beginning to end. I would highly recommend this author and book to everyone. It took me there, I was in Imagia!! This is an awesome read. I cannot wait til the next installment! I would like to see this on the BIG screen. Great book!
Read this book to my daughter and she was enthralled with it. She cant read yet but I know that when she does get to that point, she'll be reading this to herself. Boyfriend wants to read it too! ) Good book for the family.
This book is amazing. The characters are very alive with personality and easily attached to. Everything is described in such a wonderful fanciful way that you can almost feel like you are there. One of the best children book reads I have had in a very long time, and excellent art work! Move over Neverending Story and The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe. Very reminiscent of Lewis, but so much better!
There was a lot I liked in this book. The beautiful illustrations at the top of each chapter. The fun cast of characters including Sam's guardian Yewtews, the three eyed Kupa cat Keesa and my favorites, the pair of funny talking ferrets.

Williams creates a detailed fantasy world in a book aimed probably at middle-grade readers. My only criticism is that it could do with a better edit, not for proofreading problems - there were no typos - but rather for content. I found myself constantly skimming paragraphs that didn't really further the story. I wanted to know what happened next, but often times we were bogged down in Sam's feelings.
